Seun Egbegbe Remanded In Kirikiri Prison

A Lagos Magistrate’s court sitting in Ikeja remanded Seun Egbegbe in Kirikiri Prison for the alleged theft of brand new iPhones at Computer Village.

Seun was arraigned before Magistrate Y. O. Aje-Afunwa, on one count charge of theft slammed against him by the police. Seun pleaded not guilty.

The police prosecution told the court that the incident occurred while the sales girl was trying to calculate the items Seun requested for, but that he allegedly ran out of the shop with the phones and tried to board a waiting vehicle.

The governors of Ogun, Oyo and Osun states on Wednesday night held a closed-door meeting with the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, at the Government House, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta.

This came after they left the ‘Tributes Day’ held by the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, in honour of the late Sir Olaniwun Ajayi, an Afenifere chieftain, at his Isara-Remo home.

A 32-year-old man, Obed Fwoms, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stabbing his neighbour, Emeka Ofoke, on his manhood.

Fwoms, a resident of Awori in Dopemu, Agege, Lagos, is standing trial on a charge of wounding and similar acts.

Judge refuses to order EFCC to release Justice Ajumogobia

Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court in Lagos has rejected an ex parte application by Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, seeking immediate release from the custody of the EFCC.

The EFCC had detained Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia while probing the source of about $793,800, which passed through the judge’s domiciliary accounts between 2012 and 2015.

Leadership of Islamic Movement of Nigeria on Monday in Kano accused the Federal Government of plotting to wipe out the movement in the country.

At an emergency briefing held in Kano, the Head of Martyr foundation of IMN, Sheikh Abdulhamid Bello, maintained that in Kano, the Ashura procession had ended peacefully before security agents, who he claimed masqueraded as members of a youth vanguard group, attacked Shitte members.

Fashola Warns DISCos: Stop Blackmailing Federal Government

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has warned electricity distribution firms (DISCos) to stop blackmailing the Federal Government. He said they should prove how much Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are owing each of them.

Responding to the newspaper advertorials that the DisCos have been running under its umbrella body, Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors (ANED), he said the group was being economical with the truth.

Looks like Kanye West was really exhausted, which was why he cancelled the rest of his concert and agreed to refund ticket money to his fans who had bought tickets for the concert.

Reports have it that he has been hospitalised in Los Angeles after abruptly cancelling the remaining dates of his national tour.

Ex-Abuja Minister Tells Court: "Tell EFCC To Release Me"

An Abuja high court on Monday fixed November 24 for hearing in a motion filed by former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, against the EFCC for alleged violation of his fundamental right.

Mr. Mohammed, former minister under ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, had been in the custody of the EFCC since October 25 following petitions against him.

The former minister, through his counsel, Chris Uche, brought a motion of violation of fundamental human right against EFCC for detaining him for four weeks.

Her name is Nnedima Victoria Ibeabuchi, she shared her interesting of overcoming stigmatization:

The police in Lagos on Monday paraded a "quack" doctor, Celestine Yolonfun, who was arrested in the Apapa area of the state. 32-year-old Yolonfun had been practising as a doctor since 2005 after he dropped out of a nursing school in Benin Republic.

He was arrested by operatives of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, Yaba.

It was said that a pregnant woman, who was due for delivery, allegedly died in Yolonfun’s hospital, and her husband reported the doctor to the police.

Driver Stabs In-Law For R*ping His 2-Year-Old Daughter

The Lagos Police Command has arrested a commercial driver, Saheed Wahab, for allegedly stabbing his in-law, Yisa Aweda, in Orile area of the state.

Mr. Wahab stabbed 40-year-old Aweda because he reportedly caught him raping his (Wahab’s) two-year-old daughter.

Aweda, who was stabbed with a broken bottle in the neck, had also been arrested for r*ping the two-year-old girl.

A bureau de change operator, Usman Nafada, has been arrested by the police for allegedly conniving with an accomplice at large to swindle one Abdullahi Uba of N1.7million.

The victim had approached Nafada on November 16, 2016, at the Obalende area of Lagos State to help him change the sum to dollars.

The Lagos Police Command has arrested a football club manager, Frank Darlington, for allegedly sodomising three of his teenage players in the Agege area of the state.

Darlington, the manager of Soccer Warriors Football Academy, located in Pen Cinema, was arrested last Thursday by the Elere Police Division, after one of the victims reported him to the police.

The club manager, who hails from Imo State, allegedly took three footballers to his house on separate occasions after training sessions, and had s*x with them.

The kidnap on Sunday of Nigeria’s former minister of foreign affairs, Bagudu Hirse, in Kaduna was that of mistaken identity, a witness has said.

The ex-minister, who was in Kaduna on a condolence visit over the death of former Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki, was kidnapped at the gate of Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, along Inuwa Wada road in Kaduna.

The second meeting between the Senate and the Academic Staff Union of Universities to resolve the issues which led to the strike, ended in a stalemate on Monday night.

Consequently, the meeting was adjourned indefinitely.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, Jibrin Barau, who spoke to journalists after the meeting, said the parley, which lasted for about eight hours, was able to resolve all the issues raised by the lecturers except one bordering on payment of arrears.

The Federal Government has revealed that a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta on October 9, 2016, tampered with evidence likely to incriminate him while on bail – following his arrest by the operatives of the Department of State Service on corruption allegations.

The Federal Government stated that the evidence the Justice allegedly tampered with were a cash sum of N27million and three exotic cars.

A Nigerian man living in Ghana, Benjamin Oyem, has died from injuries sustained as his brother’s Ghanaian wife, Comfort Agboloshie, set the room they were sleeping in on fire.

38yrs old Comfort on Thursday removed her three children, all females, aged four, seven and nine, from the room in which they were sleeping with their father and uncle.

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has called on the Federal Government to pay greater attention to the welfare of Nigerian soldiers on active servive and families of fallen soldiers.

Gov. Bello made this call while on a condolence visit to the family of late Lt. Col Muhammad Abu Ali in Kaduna on Sunday, 20th November. He was accompanied by the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Imam Umar, where they met with the widow of the deceased, Mrs Samira Abu Ali, and the three children.

Governor Ayo Fayose was on Splash FM Ibadan earlier on Monday where he said a lot about Ekiti and the current political atmosphere in Nigeria. His words:

S*xual Assault: Rapper The Game ordered to pay woman $7m

Popular rapper The Game is going to have to write a check with a lot of zeros to his s*xual assault accuser, he has lost the lawsuit the woman filed against him.

An Illinois court ruled in favor of Priscilla Rainey, who sued The Game, alleging that he s*xually assaulted her while shooting a reality show in 2015.

According to TMZ, a judgment was entered against the wealthy rapper late last week for $7.13m.

A middle aged man, identified as Mr. Godwin, a resident of Ufia Street in Otukpo, Benue State, has reportedly murdered his own biological mother.

Mr. Godwin Orinya who hails from Ado area but settled in Sabon Gari area of Otukpo town killed his mother at Agboke in Ohimini area in the early hours of today, Monday November 21, 2016.

According to Idoma Voice, a close family source Mr. Oduh said Godwin Orinya, a graduate of the University of Jos, developed strange behaviours recently and was taken to a rehabilitation center at Agboke in Ohimini where the incident took place.

Kanye West is pulling the plug on all his tour dates for the rest of the year, and it's cos he's stretching himself too thin. A source connected to the rapper tells TMZ: "He's just exhausted. He's been working around the clock on fashion design, both his own line and the Adidas line."

Popular Abuja prophet and Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Brother Joshua Iginla, on Sunday gave additional N5 million to complete the N10 million promised to a Muslim acid victim, Jamila Yusuf, who was bathed with acid by her boyfriend.

Pastor Iginla had earlier presented N5million to Jamila and gave opportunity to those who might want to contribute to saving her life. He however said that he had the whole money and would complete it if enough money was not raised from people to complete it.

Governor Segun Mimiko of Ondo State held a closed door meeting with President Buhari days, few days to the highly contentious governorship election in the state.

This is the second in recent weeks the governor, who is the chairman of the governors forum of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would be meeting President Buhari.

Mr. Mimiko got to the villa at noon and went straight into the president’s office.

President Muhammadu Buhari daughter Zahra is set to wed, few weeks after another one wedded.

Zahra is set to wed Ahmed Indimi, son of Maiduguri oil baron and Billionaire, Mohammed Indimi. Abuja Reports stated that the wedding has been slated for 2nd December, 2016.
